Sama seperti entry 3 March 2006, entry kali ini pun 'title'nya dah siap-siap letak, tapi text and pictures were not updated...  ..Sorry folks, tapi takpe kan, kasi macam preview cket laa...kasi saspen dulu...Anyway, baru hari ini, 29 March 2006 gambar-gambar ini di muat naikkan kan (ewaaahhh...BM gitu...)...  Mentang-mentang solekan ditaja maka permintaan kakak saya ialah untuk mengambil gambar ptoret pada hari persandingan pada sebelah siang...Majlis resepsi diadakan pada sebelah malamnya...Tempat persandingan Dr. Kathrina (KT) & pasangannya Army Amri berlangsung di Dewan Seri Endon, Puspanitasari, Presint 10, Putrajaya...  Dewan Seri Endon sangat-sangat cantik!!...Besar....dan cantik!! Beats any other banquet hall which I've been to any hotels...The price per head for food is equivalent to Dewan Merak Kayangan...tapi dewan nie memang kelasss habisss... ...Anyway, KT wore a cream bridal gown and Amri looked stunning in his tuxedo (bukan blazer+tie tau...tak kelassss... )....Since the photoshoot was taken outdoor, my sister wanted the makeup to look, what I would say, simple and sweet this time.... Rambut depan pun tak nak parting neither side nor middle, just "defined" would do, said KT...

Entry nie, date sikit punye advance letak....Yelah, the date of the solemnization itself is 3rd March 2006...Only today, 26 March 2006 that I manage to find ample time to upload the photos.. ...This entry is actually none other, but my sister's wedding...How nice isn't it for Dr. Kathrina (KT, for short...and yes...we are two different people with different interests...I hate blood apparently...) to have a sister who does her makeup for free... The solemnization took place at a nearby Surau Damai near my hometown in Bandar Baru Bangi after Maghrib prayers...Her bridal room concept is dusty pink-purple whilst her bridal outfit is cream...  ..Look closely, my sister has imbalance eyes socket, so the smokey look is perfect to conceal her imperfection (hahaha...mek...mata tak sama yer??..  )...For her, smokey eyes + pale lips combo doesn't really suit her, as I just know she can't carry soft, or pale lips look....  ...I really love her whole look for her solemnization...the look which brought out the joy and happiness in her, for finally marrying Army Amri after...hmmm...let me think...10 years of courtship??

Revise in 2006 Makeup Rate

What??...A price hike in petrol prices again??...  An increase of 30 sen/litre is a lot. Now, petrol prices is approximately RM 1.92 to RM 1.95/litre..macam nie la, round up the figure pun dah jadi RM 2.00/litre....Isi minyak RM 10.00 is equivalent to 5 liter...Kalau isi minyak RM 20.00 plak would equivalent to 10 liter...setakat isi RM 10.00, banyak tue mana sangat boleh pergi, kan??...Isi minyak RM 20.00 baru cover kos pergi. Pergi-balik therefore would cost RM 40.00...Campur RM 10.00 in toll charges, beli air mineral, gula-gula, parking ke, etc. at least total travelling cost is RM 50.00 and that is within Klang Valley, about 30-40 km radius from my current base in Desa Petaling, KL... Henceforth, with such illustration, simply put - TRAVELLING COSTS HAS INCREASED TREMENDOUSLY... Therefore, I'm hereby announcing that my 2006 Makeup Rate has been revised w.e.f from today too. For those whom has booked/engaged to my services in advance by depositing their deposits, (I thank you all...) you will not be affected from this announcement following the price hike in petrol prices...Sad to announce this, but this kind of business involves constant travelling and I am among one of those from the many thousands of service providers out there who is badly affected from it.... ...

Ted Adnan PMs, SMSs and called me several times to arrange and inform me details for photoshoot of an Annual Report for MBSB...(MBSB is a company, darling....A subsidiary company of EPF...) The photoshoot lasted for two days, Friday and Monday. Not exactly glamourous or anything, but it was ok...Ted is a pro in his work and we got along great. He's very bubbly and working with him is indeed enjoyable and smooth all the way...

Harinie, Ahad, 12 Februari 2006 adalah Majlis Pertunangan Lyana & Aidey bertempat di Dengkil...Lyana, as told by herself, is a "fan" of my Fotopages (why, thank you, darling...glad to know that I have a fan out there ) She called me just a few days before her engagement day...(sigh...another lucky client whom I hate to turn down even though I'd planned to keep February weekends free as I am currently up to something...) I've never been to Dengkil although the place is somewhat near my hometown, Bangi..I know it's further up from Cyberjaya..The road is unbelievably straight tapi terlajak juga masa dah sampai kat Dengkil...Rupa-rupanya Dengkil nie tak le besar nooo... ...Pusing-pusing kat situ juga..I went to Lyana's house with Yusi too this time, tapi dua kali sesat jalan..har..har..har... "Fail" betull!!...Masuk kiri macan sampai hutan pedalaman, masuk kanan dah menghala ke KLIA, so we knew we must have passed the "taman perumahan" fo sure..Kelakar betul laa...Anyway, sampai rumah Lyana I dah tercungap-cungap... ...The colour theme of Lyana's hantaran is green, but she wore a lovely white outfit...Cantik baju dia...Permintaan Lyana katanya "Nak makeup pink-pink sikit, tak mau plain sangat.."..Well, Lyana, I hoped you got what you have wished for on your engagement day, dear...You looked absolutely radiant in your outfit, macam nak bernikah terus pun ada..hehehe...nervous betul dia...rilekk aa dear, this is the beginning of something wonderful...best of luck to you, dear..and I'm glad to be a part of your most wonderful moments in your life...

Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) 2005

Yesterday the auspicious annual AJL 2005 was held at PWTC...2005 punye AJL was held in February 2006?? Talk about poor planning by the peeps over at TV3..Anyway, like they said, there's no business like show business and running a LIVE show like AJL indeed involves a lot of planning and organizing of people and the production crew, and of course a whole bunch of peeps backstage...So, what is it like backstage??... Let me tell you that it's not the best sight to see, but it's interesting to see so many people backstage...The production crew, the artists, the dancers, the PRs, the makeup artists and a concoction of interesting individuals, the so called one-body-two sexes..(you know what I mean..) It's interesting really, but backstage can be a bit stuffy because of the air...You can see so many people smoking their lungs out and chit chatting at every corner..Since I don't smoke and hate smoking, I guess backstage isn't really my thing, but you have to follow around the artist anywhere they go and be ready at the individual's "touch-up sikit boleh??" request...
Misha's overall makeup took I think maybe 3 hours or more...The hair itself is took the longest time...(tapi semua rambut original je nie, tak pakai wig tau..)..makeup nye tak lama, buat rambut tue yang lama...tapi she was on stage for a few minutes aje...Is it worth it?? When you're an artist I guess it's part of the job, to look glam and all...Like I said, there's no business like show business!!

You can't deny the fact that today's brides are concern about their overall appearance on their wedding day. Most importantly is the makeup itself. If there are brides out there who could splurge can wear all sort of fancy bridal outfits, complete with matching shoes, accessories and all. However, sometimes, it doesn't take all the fancy stuff that you wear to make you look like the "queen of the day". Take my earlier entry, "One of My best Friend's Wedding Today" and you'll notice that her outfit is rather plain or "blahh" (Asmak jgn marah ye..sekadar memberi kiasan..) to some of you bride-to-be out there..Nak pulak pakai selendang sampai dipinkan kasi cover habis pulak tue (hehehe..Cema darlinggg this one I'm teasing you ok.. ) Kdg2 kita pun naik tak faham, but I guess you must respect the bride's request, for whatever reason even though it looks or sounds darn weird...
Anyway, today's entry is the trial makeup on one my client-to-be, Siti...Her wedding is scheduled in June and she came all the way from Taman Keramat, KL (and alone, literally...my, I really admire this girl's determination... ) to see how she will look like on her wedding day...She's genuinely nice, bubbly and open and it's easy to work with her...Well, take a closer look on her eyes, notice that the left eye and her right eye is not the same, as I showed her the differences between the two eye makeup...
For those of you opting for the SELECT MAKEUP, the trial makeup, like this one, cost you only RM 30.00. I think it's cheaper than the local market offer out there, but hey, it's the bride-to-be effort to get up, get dressed, locate, drive, park and walk to my apartment..so that's why it's cheap!

Bagaikan "Taman Bunga" di rambut?

Hi, there! Today I'm posting photos of today's "bertandang" reception of Kak Az and her husband in Cheras, KL. Majlis kali nie simple tapi tetap meriah..tapi..hmm...agaknya masa kenduri sebelah pengantin perempuan dia dah melaram habis, jadi untuk majlis bertandang kali nie baju yang dipakai simple aje, tanpa kerlipan sebutir manik mahu pun jemeki...Tanpa pemakaian layah atau aksesori yang gemerlapan mahu pun tiara di atas kepala...It was Kak Az's sister-in-law whom called & appointed me to dress the bride up and informed me in advance that the outfit would be, well, darn simple..  After further discussion and consultation, I advised her to buy an assortment of fresh flowers so that I could do a stylish hairdo, which could bring more "life" to the outfit which the bride would wear...Hanya dengan pemakaian aksesori yang sederhana tetapi dengan dandanan yang diselitkan dengan bunga-bungaan segar, si pengantin nampak lebih "segar" dan berseri dah la akak nie susah nak senyum..tapi takpe kak..tengok bunga-bunga kat rambut akak je dah cukup mengasyikkan...hehehe  part bubuh bunga-bunga nie memang saya gemar sungguh!!...
